DetailsDescription:
I can't select text using the mouse in Konsole if shift is held down. Its been this way ever since installing arch, but seemed to get ranomly fixed a while ago, but the problem has come back again recently. This is a problem because joe has it's own mose handling which you can override by holding down shift. So I can't copy anything from joe into the clipboard. Additional info: * package version(s) Konsole 2.3.3 (KDE 4.3.3) Steps to reproduce: Open Konsole Hold down Shift and try to select some text |

I can shift+select in xterm, but not in console.
I was investigating another problem I had (keyboard wouldn't work in KDM) when I discovered that in /etc/hal/fdi/policy/10-keymap.fdi I had "input.xkb.layout" set to "uk" instead of "gb". Changing the value to "gb" fixed the KDM problem and the shift-select problem in Konsole.
