After installing kvpnc, there is a short howto displayed which shows how to run kvpnc as sudo without root password. Point 3, "edit desktop link" contains the wrong path to the .desktop file. /usr/share/applnk/kvpnc.desktop should be replaced with /usr/share/applications/kde4/kvpnc.desktop.
