I was thinking an excellent feature for the AUR would be a way to "pitch" proposed PKGBUILDs to maintainers. The maintainer can then choose to test the PKGBUILD and accept specific changes into their own PKGBUILDs, or reject them outright.

This could also be an effective way the users as a group could resolve a problem and show a maintainer what needs to be done a lot easier.

Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  Please don't use comments to post PKGBUILDs. Link to a pastebin or email the maintainer.
This request will not be implemented.
A multiple maintainer implementation may be considered though.

That can already be done with the comment functionnality.

Well, indeed the comments system works well for this. But I figured that there could be more "community" in the maintainership. Allow people to upload proposed PKGBUILDs to test for the approval of maintainers.

This really sounded better in my head.
