Details

Description: mythtv-0.22-* no longer includes the file /usr/share/mythtv/mc.sql which is the initial template needed when setting up a new mythtv database. This file is included in the source tarball distributed by the mythtv developers. In mythtv-0.21 it was copied from the tarball to the package during build (see svn revision 58366).

Not a huge problem, just a small inconvience to download the source for one file!

[dmartins@sirschmoopy Downloads]$ tar tf mythtv-0.22.tar.bz2 | grep mc.sql
tar: Record size = 8 blocks
mythtv-0.22/database/mc.sql

[dmartins@tvee mythtv]$ pacman -Q mythtv
mythtv 0.22-3

[dmartins@tvee mythtv]$ pacman -Ql mythtv | grep mc.sql
(not found)

Additional info:
* 0.22-[1,2,3]

Steps to reproduce: Install mythtv-0.22
Look for /usr/share/mythtv/mc.sql

Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  dbschema is created/updated by mythtv itself: See

bool InitializeDatabase(void)

in

libmythtv/dbcheck.cpp

no need to provide SQL-Scripts

I have included the sql template in my proposed PKGBUILD in ticket 16372. However, this is merely a way to make the setup process easier, because mythtv seems to be able to populate an empty database just as well.
