DetailsDescription: package em8300-utils doesn't include /etc/udev/rules.d/em8300.rules, it creates /dev/em8300 devices which do not have correct permission for users of video group, instead of creating /dev/em8300-0 /dev/em8300_ma-0 /dev/em8300_mv-0 /dev/em8300_sp-0 with correct group video.
em8300.rules must contain the following string: SUBSYSTEM=="em8300", GROUP="video", MODE="0660" Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Install em8300-utils, modprobe em8300, ls /dev/em8300* |
