Please split vdpau libraries from nvidia-utils, so that mythtv and probably more apps can be built with vdpau support without having to depend on nvidia-utils. In the current state this feature can not be supported, because it would be an inconveniance to non-nvidia users and impossible for legacy card owners. I have attached a modified PKGBUILD that will build the separate packages |

This won't happen. Nvidia released a BSD-licensed standalone libvdpau source that should be used to construct the libvdpau package. libvdpau will disappear from the nvidia drivers in a while.
