Details
The index page of the packages folder[1] is, as far as I
know, the only possibility to get a comprehensive list of
the packages in the AUR. Unfortunately, the package folders
are not removed when a package is deleted from the AUR (I
guess for backup reasons) which means the list usually
contains several false entries.
It would therefore be great if the corresponding folders could be moved to a special backup folder on package deletion. Another benefit would be that the cleanup script can be quite trivial as you do not have to query the database anymore to find the obsolete files: simply touch the folders when moving and set up a cron job which removes all folders older than three month or so. I agree with it too, if there is such a page, it should show the
actual packages, and the backup strategy should be happen in the
'background' even you can see the all the packages if you leave
the search criteria field with empty content and click for 'Go'
button.
