I installed openoffice 3.1.1-2 and there are no icons in KDE menu. To launch OOo I have to run: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/[swriter] It seems there are no symlinks, so when I type openoffice or swriter etc. it doesn't start. Btw. Office group in KDE menu is active now, but it's empty. |

The binary to start is "/usr/bin/soffice". You may check the .desktop files how OOo can be started.
btw: go-openoffice has the better kde integration that is also included in the vanilla openoffice-base-beta and -devel pkg.
$ kmenuedit
Edit->Restore to System Menu
