The package gnupg2 should include following package as additional dependency: extra/pinentry I tested it only with x86_64 but this bug should be in i686 as well according to the package's dependency list. Steps to reproduce: $ gpg2 --gen-key ... ... gpg-agent[20755]: can't connect server: `ERR 67109133 can't exec `/usr/bin/pinentry': No such file or directory' gpg-agent[20755]: can't connect to the PIN entry module: IPC connect call failed gpg-agent[20755]: command get_passphrase failed: No pinentry gpg: problem with the agent: No pinentry gpg: Key generation canceled.
