DetailsDescription:
python-pypdf-1.12-2 includes a patch (http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/15877) which is using python's hashlib library incorrectly (it uses "hashlib.md5.new()" instead of "hashlib.md5()"). Additionaly there is a bug with ascii/unicode-encoded strings when decrypting some pdfs (see also: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pypdf/+bug/242756). Attached is a patch (based on the current one) which corrects the hashlib usage and the unicode error. (While there seems to be activity in the upstream git-repo, the email address is still dead). |
