DetailsDescription:
Noticed while playing Nexuiz. Sound stoped working and cpu went up to 100%. This is output: ALSA lib pcm.c:7234:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occured Had to kill nexuiz-sdl. This happened after update, new xserver and pulse-audio. I know this has nothing to do with nexuiz, but it only app affected by this, beside wine (but it should not work with pulse anyway?). Additional info: Run update, run nexuiz. Wait for some 5 secs, exit but dont kill. See * package version(s) Nexuiz - 2.5.2-1 PulseAudio - 0.9.19-1 Xserver - 1.7.1.901-1 Steps to reproduce: Run update, run nexuiz. Wait for some 5 secs, exit but dont kill. See top and list trough nexuiz log to find error. |

Have you tried running nexuiz-glx?
I'm sorry but other than that I don't know what to suggest.
I'm reassigning this to the pulseaudio maintainer. You should check the Alientrap/Nexuiz forum for solutions in the meantime.
$ pulseaudio -k
Then relaunch it in debug mode:
$ pulseaudio -vvvvv
It will spit out a lot of messages. Then start nexuiz and see if pulse reports anything wrong.
