Description:
moon-lander dies every now and then, when it tries to load a new background image:

[root@vostro moon-lander]# moon-lander
Sound active
reading game options in /root/.moon_lander
cannot open file for reading: /root/.moon_lander - loading defaults
Opened audio at 22050 Hz 16 bit stereoscreen initialized
Loaded font "fonts/ConsoleFont.bmp". Width:6, Height:13
Loaded font "fonts/LargeFont.bmp". Width:16, Height:18
Couldn't load images/backgrounds/.: Unsupported image format

* Install moon-lander 1.0-3
* Play a few levels

This would be considered an upstream issue.
However, considering the project seems abandoned, the developers need to decided if they want to patch the source.

There is a patch in the debian repositories, which works just great. I've edited the PKGBUILD, which I'm attaching. Notice that I changed the package maintainer, because I've build the package for me, so you'll have to change this back.

Furthermore I've added a desktop file so the game is listed in the application menu.
