DetailsIt would be nice if acpid included a default config file. For example, you could provide a /etc/acpi/events/power file with the following contents: --------------8<---------- # shutdown when pressing power off event=button/power.* action=/sbin/shutdown -h now --------------->8---------- Thank you in advance! |

I agree with you. There is no reason for not providing some good defaults for several Arch packages, including acpi events.
