Detailsyou have both gnutls and nss-nspr as dependencies for gaim package when you only need either one of them. See http://gaim.sourceforge.net/faq-ssl.php
"Gaim needs to be compiled with SSL support to work with MSN, and for SSL connections on Jabber (where the server supports it). You will need either GnuTLS (and all its dependencies) or Mozilla NSS & NSPR." I installed gaim with gnutls only (used nodeps switch) and it worked fine for MSN, (i don't use Jabber but gaim website clearly states you need either one of these two. |
