wifi-select 0.8 does not work at all because it sources a file which does not exist. This was discussed in the Forum months ago. See http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=63973&p=3 It's a simple change, so it's rather disappointing that it was not fixed immediately upstream (it still has not been) and that we have a package in community which wasn't even slightly tested when a dependency was updated.
