When trying to use Find or Find/Replace dialogs i get the following error:

Could Not find the required widgets inside "/opt/gnome/share/gedit-2/glade/replace.glade2". Please, reinstall gedit.

This file exists and is as follows:
~ | ls -lh /opt/gnome/share/gedit-2/glade/replace.glade2
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 12K Oct 14 19:17 /opt/gnome/share/gedit-2/glade/replace.glade2


I have reinstalled gedit multiple times and redownloaded the package.

I am running the latest, 2.8.1-1

~ | gedit --version
Gnome gedit 2.8.1

try installing glade2 again?
make sure you have the latest version ?

Like i said, I am running latest version,

reinstalled libglade and glade, still not working. All latest versions

i do not have an idea why, try rebuilding it ?
it runs fine on my systems

i downloaded source tarball from gnome.org, recompiled, prefix=/opt/gnome, still no go.

I think i have a deeper problem on my system :(

try deinstalling gnome by using:
pacman -Rc gtk2

this will remove any package depending on gtk2!

then reinstall with pacman -S gnome of gnome-extra
