DetailsDescription:
I started encoding some videos to x264 (first with ogmrip, then with mencoder on commandline). ogmrip says that mencoder has not been compiled with x264-support. Mencoders output is "-x264encopts is not a MEncoder option". The package mplayer-29776-1 has a dependency on the package x264, but 'ldd /usr/bin/mplayer' does not show anything like libx264. Neither does 'ldd /usr/bin/mencoder'. I am not familiar with mplayer and mencoder; does this mean that mencoder has been compiled without x264-support and the dependency on the package x264 is not really necessary? |
This task depends upon
It's not necessary currently, because the x264 package is too old for the mplayer version, and therefore, x264 support was not complied in. See
FS#16736.
