Details

Description: Today, after running my daily sudo pacman -Syu, I saw gnome-desktop was upgraded to version 2.28.1-1.

After a logout / login, I open System / About Gnome, and it says I'm using Gnome 2.28.0, built on 22 october 2009.

Looks like something doesn't match ;)

If you want the version number to match gnome-desktop, edit /usr/share/gnome-about/gnome-version.xml and change the <micro>0</micro> tag to 1.
I won't rebuild gnome-desktop for just this version number. Upstream didn't update this in configure.in for this release, which is why it still shows 2.28.0.
