# ata2.01 fault or invalid emulation. Contact drive vendor for information.
This problem appeared from the moment I installed archlinux. In other distros I don't have this problem. After modprobe sr_mode I've get in lsmod:
sr_mod 16644 0
cdrom 36032 1 sr_mod
scsi_mod 112404 4 sr_mod,sg,sd_mod,libata

but no cdrom in dev (neither sr0).
Please tell me what more info is needed.
P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

Please describe more your problem, looks like a combination of driver/hardware issue.

My suggest is post this on forum or mailing list. Attach complete lsmod, dmesg a version of kernels (of both working and non-working scenarios).
