KDE system notifications no longer play.
If i click on the play button in the notifications panel nothing happens.
It seemed that kde would not play ogg files but since that last kdemultimedia update it now does.
Just no system notifications.
Although the test sound button in the sound system menu does play the startup ogg file.
Everything else like xmms work fine with wv and ogg and also mp3.
Whats wrong with KDE ??

The control panel system notifications dont play.

I can play ogg files from the konq browser.

I just cant play sounds using kde embedded play button in the system notifications and the notifications dont work.

Fixed it ...

My .kde/share/config/knotifyrc was corrupted by the updates.
copying the one from the new user fixed this.

Thanks Tobias Powalowski

you don't need copying it from new user
you can also try to rename the old file to xxx.old
and a new one should be created
thanks for trying it with new user :)
