DetailsDescription:
preload has an entry related to ionice (IONICE_OPTS) in its conf.d file but rc.d script doesn't use this information anywhere. This is painful since many people may want to run preload daemon with idle io priority. Additional info: * preload version: 0.6.4-1 * Default /etc/conf.d/preload settings apply * Tested on i686, but other architectures are likely to be affected as well. Steps to reproduce: 0. Install preload-0.6.4-1 from [community] 1. Start preload daemon 2. Run ionice -p `pidof preload` in order to determine its io scheduling class Expected results: 'idle' is printed to stdout Actual result: Something other will appear. The fix is trivial and attached to this report |
