According to your log seems dhcpcd couldn't get dynamic IP, can you try it with dhclient for a try only ? Btw, is it wicd related only, or can't it work from networkmanager, netcfg, etc ?

It doesn't work with dhclient when I tried. I think connecting through terminal works, but can't be sure cuz I didn't try it. I know network manager doesn't work at all in any kernel for me (it hates my wireless card).

If you want me to re-install the kernel and try again, it will have to be in about a month when I do. It's almost time for finals and exams for me. :S

Although, today I did get a similar not being able to connect error. (see attached log)
