Hi Judd (I hope I can call you by your first name)!
Maybe you had a look on the thread "kernel patches" at the TUR Mailinglist. I proposed to apply the Bytesex.org all-in-one kernel patch to the Kernel like Debian does it. According to the specification of Bytesex.org, it supports a better support for TV-Cards. It whould be nice if you add/apply the patch to the kernel26 package.

I think I'll leave these patches out of the stock kernel -- I try to keep it as vanilla as possible, to avoid possible conflicts, as well as people coming to me and saying "But you put X's patch in there, why not Y's?"

I encourage users to build their own custom kernels if they want special patches applied.
