Hi! After boot, a ethernet link is not up, but a link LED on network cards (host and router 192.168.5.1) is ok. ping 192.168.5.1 PING 192.168.5.1 (192.168.5.1) 56(84) bytes of data. From 192.168.5.2 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable From 192.168.5.2 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable From 192.168.5.2 icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable I rebooted a computer and problem solved (random) I changed network card, but trouble shooting is not resolved. This task depends upon
The problem may be because at each boot, the names of the two interfaces changes, as a result of a race condition or something like that.
Can you confirm it ?
You have two network cards, one which has a cable (and link), and another which has not ?
Can you paste here the result of "ifconfig -a" ?
