umm.... I'm not sure if you are kidding here :P

e.g. <ftproot>/extra/os/any has an empty file extra.abs.tar.gz in it.

Oh, lol! I made a dir named "foo" a while back. I thought it still existed and I needed to remove it.

Is this more of a 'note to self' then?

Basically a note to self. You had been dealing with the cron jobs in the past so I tagged you, but I guess I have access to adjust that now... so move along, nothing to see here.

It turns out that these files are not created any more. They must have been created when testing the script. Deleting the fixes the issue.
