Missing RANDR is normal for my display. Missing "Generic Event Extension" is not something I recognise.

Did you try to reinstall libxtst and avahi packages ?

No, all the work I did is up there.

I will be abandoning desktop Linux within the month, so I can't re-test, sorry.

Fixed on i686, needs rebuild for x86_64 still
