DetailsDescription:
Scripts in docutils package contain .py extensions. Most other distros remove these extensions. I would like for arch's package also to remove them to make things like Makefiles cross-distro compatible. Additional info: * Currently in docutils 0.5-3, scripts such as rst2html have the .py extension, so they are in the filesystem as: /usr/bin/rst2html.py I'm proposing to strip the .py extensions in the PKGBUILD. Steps to reproduce: pacman -Ql docutils I currently do this by rolling my own docutils package with the following lines: for f in $startdir/pkg/usr/bin/*.py; do mv $f $startdir/pkg/usr/bin/$(basename $f .py) done This strips the extensions from all the rst2* scripts, which most other distributions do. I've attached the full PKGBUILD. |
