After Gnome update sound has disappeared. Then I found the cause. It is because pulseaudio support have not been compiled to these packages: gnome-applets, gnome-media and gnome-settings-daemon. After recompile sound is working again. I also tried to play sound only with alsa, but then movies are playing in fast forward. I can't understand why pusleaudio is disabled by default in Gnome 2.28. I think, we can make packages something like gnome-{media,applets,settings-daemon}-nopulse for these who dont want extra dependency. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: |

Additional comments about closing: We don't offer pulseaudio in our distribution and these packages still use the same audio backends as the previous 2.26 versions.
