Description:
Since upgrading to kernel26-2.6.31.3 I am finding that the wi-fi is not picking up my local wireless router. It seems to decect other wi-fi sources in the nearby area, but doesn't pickup or connect to my local one. Before the upgrade, there was not such a problem. It would occasionally happen, but a shutdown, and switching wi-fi on and then off would fix it. But no such luck after the latest update.

Additional info:
Wireless driver: broadcom-wl
Kernel: kernel26-2.6.31.3

Steps to reproduce:
Simply apply latest update (11th Oct 2009) which upgrades kernel to 2.6.31.3 and then on rebooting, check to see if local wi-fi router is being picked up or not.

broadcom-wl is in aur and is pointless to report bugs for unsupported modules.
like a side note, did you recompiled broadcom-wl after upgrading the kernel?

No I hadn't recompiled it actually. I'll have a search on the net on how to do this but if someone would be kind enough to advise on this, I would be grateful.
