Details

upgraded mozilla (1.7.2-1 -> 1.7.3-1)
logged out, logged in again
galeon (1.3.17-1) will not start

Error Message: Ensure the "MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME" environment variable is set to the correct Mozilla installation directory.

Error persists after setting the environment variable:
export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME='/opt/mozilla/lib/mozilla-1.7.3'

Even though I upgraded a number of other packages at the same time (glib2, gnome-vfs, gtk2, libogg etc), the error message indicates the problem lies with the mozilla upgrade.

The following posting appears to indicate a similar problem in Slackware 10.0:
http://linuxfr.org/~LiNuCe/15418.html

My french is not very good, but it appears that mozilla 1.7.3 breaks compatibility with galeon 1.3.17. Suggested solution in the posting is (I believe) to pass the option --with-mozilla-snapshot=1.7.2 to ./configure.

Thus, unless I've missed something, it seems that mozilla 1.7.3-1 breaks galeon 1.3.17-1.
