DetailsDescription: The new functionality in gdb requires python. By building gdb against python, quite a few new and very cool features in gdb get unleashed. The python support also was one of the main points of the new 7.0 version and one of the reasons behind the major version bump.
Additional info: - http://sourceware.org/gdb/download/ANNOUNCEMENT * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. - just building it in a python aware environment lets gdb pick up the dependency automatically |
