This is a request from russian community. For a long time the «ё» letter (read it as «yo» without long «u» at the end) was ignoring in our written language. Now we live in Russia not in USSR and there is the demand to write this letter in law.. nevertheless aspell-ru was built without support, so, for example, the word «ёжик» is mistaken :( We love and take pride in it... please, «return» :)

Do you have any instructions how to build it with "ё" support?

There is a problem:
as per  FS#6047  it is planned to have all aspell packages built from one PKGBUILD (using split packages feature), with sources pulled from aspell.net,
this means that aspell-ru will be built from the official tarball,
so I have two suggestions here:
1) force aspell.net to update Russian package for "ё" support
2) create a separate package, e.g. aspell-ru-lebedev taken from the links above
#1 should definitely be done but in the mean time #2 is the way to go.

Any update on this? Should we do the suggested #2 for now, and also send a report for #1 upstream?
