Description:
partx is not built as part of util-linux-ng 2.16-1 Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: install util-linux-ng, note the missing partx. partx is useful for forcing the kernel to recognize partition changes on media it recognizes, or for forcing the kernel to recognize partitions on loopback-mounted filesystem images or LVM logical volumes. This is useful for forensic analysis of captured disk images, testing new initramfs'es in a sandboxed environment, registering newly-created basic partitions on hard drives, and many other things. Please enable building partx on util-linux-ng. |
