I can confirm this with up to date packages.
This could be related to other bugs while kms is enabled. One bug that comes to mind is, http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/17446

kernel26 2.6.32.3-1

Is this still an issue, and if so, what exact hardware does this happen on? Any specific system/mainboard?

Is this still an issue? Xorg, kernel and drivers have received several updates in the meanwhile.
Comment by Thomas Dziedzic (tomd123) - Thursday, 17 February 2011, 15:45 GMT

Did anyone bother to contact upstream about this?
Comment by Thomas Dziedzic (tomd123) - Friday, 04 March 2011, 06:43 GMT
Since I'm the last person to experience this that seems to be responding, I guess I will open a BR upstream within the week.
