DetailsThere is a BUG with installer (well I think):
During installation and going to Configure System: Do you want to use the network settings from the installer in rc.conf and resolve.conf? Clicking Yes, will add that settings to these two files, but in rc.conf that part is commented(I have had STATIC IP during install), and DHCP is used, that can be checked also in installation "Configuring system" or after reboot. |

1) automatic installation or manual?
2) net install or core?
3) did you configure networking IN aif, or manually on the console?
4) the relevant networking config lines in the generated rc.conf - also the ones commented out - (the ones after your hostname and before '# Enable these network profiles at boot-up') (exactly!!)
5) does /mnt/etc/rc.conf exist on the livecd right before and after this step? can you open the file?
FS#18196- [aif] Does not output network settings into /etc/rc.conf correctlyFixed in git: http://projects.archlinux.org/aif.git/commit/?id=9525c62d5f6fc9e23f7571b26d6b1deaec685789
you can test by installing aif-git from AUR onto the live image. but since the patch was so trivial I'm pretty sure it's fixed.
Reopen if not.
