Details

Description:
After installing eclipse and php-eclipse, executing 'eclipse' or '/usr/share/eclipse/eclipse' does not start Eclipse.
No error message is shown.

This occurs with having sun jdk and jre installed

When installing openjdk6 and replacing Sun JDK, eclipse starts normally.

Reason for closing:  Works for me
Additional comments about closing:  several people at #archlinux-bugs failed to reprocude this.
be sure that you relogin after installing jre/jdk so that new files from profile.d are sourced

Sorry, ignore "oenjdk" I copied the wrong output... I haven't installed openjdk6.

It was the last version of jdk/jre I was running before (with the current setup Eclipse works)

this is a local problem. try to remove .eclipse and workspace dirs in your home

works here without problem after this operation:
pacman -S eclipse eclipse-phpeclipse openjdk6

So i can't reproduce it.
