Description: Tom Gilbert took down the sources of all the software he used to maintain. Building feh, scrot & giblib from ABS fails.

Additional info:
From his blog: "Software: Sorry, but for those of you who used to follow my blog for the open source software I wrote – you won’t see too much of that. I just don’t do it so much any more – my life is full of work (where I still have a technical job but don’t write code any more) and hobbies where I more and more find myself outside and away from computers. Want to fork one of my old projects? Ping me for the source code"
This task depends upon

Oh yeah, came http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/came/ should be included to the above list too.
Comment by Eric Belanger (Snowman) - Wednesday, 30 September 2009, 20:44 GMT
came is orphaned and not used by other packages. Any objection if I just remove it?

For the other ones, you can get the source from third party mirrors and put them on local ftp.

I have the files uploaded here: http://code.google.com/p/grbzks/downloads/list in case you cant find them,
although they should be available (but renamed) in Debian ftp's.
But check their integrity first, make sure they pass the md5sums in the PKGBUILDs.
Also the homepages of all projects no longer exist.

You could use the freshmeat ones found here: http://freshmeat.net/users/gilbertt
I havent got the came source.
Comment by Giovanni Scafora (giovanni) - Thursday, 01 October 2009, 00:47 GMT
Fixed.
I just added giblib and scrot on local ftp.
Also, I used the homepages http://freshmeat.net/users/gilbertt

@giovanni: when i posted the freshmeat link, i did that cause all the project pages are listed there
http://freshmeat.net/projects/came
http://freshmeat.net/projects/feh
http://freshmeat.net/projects/giblib
http://freshmeat.net/projects/scrot
But you used the user link. Anyway thats not so important but it would be easy to change i guess.

Thanks Giovanni. This is rather irrelevant to this report, but shouldnt the sources for these packages be in ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/sources/ ?
Cause they are not. I dont know why though.
Comment by Eric Belanger (Snowman) - Saturday, 03 October 2009, 03:48 GMT
No. ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/sources/ is only for packages with these licenses: 'GPL' 'GPL1' 'GPL2' 'LGPL' 'LGPL1' 'LGPL2'.
giblib and scrot are MIT.
Comment by Greg (dolby) - Saturday, 03 October 2009, 03:53 GMT
Oh right, thanks Eric.
