mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libldap-2.3.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Wrong, libldap is required by libsmbclient that is required by mplayer ;)

smbclient is already in TODO list, for rebuild. http://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-dev-public/2009-September/013403.html

Rebuild yourselft, or wait for it.
