If you install Flash, some flash apps (mainly games) are not ran correctly since they may use fonts that we don't have on our computers. See the thread below: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=79888 It would not be a bad idea to tell to the user that he/she might want to install them, too. ttf-ms-fonts ttf-dejavu ttf-bitstream-vera Steps to reproduce: The example from the forum thread: www.amcharts.com (see the thread for more info, the app needs ttf-bitstream-vera) http://www.kongregate.com/games/JGames/deep -- this game does not render some of the text if you don't have ttf-ms-fonts There are many more examples out there, though. |
