Details

Description: After trying to upgade to texlive-bin-2009.2-1 and texlive-langgreek-2009.14873-1, pacman exits with the following error.

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
/usr/bin/mkgrkindex exists in both 'texlive-bin' and 'texlive-langgreek'
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

pacman -Qo reports that /usr/bin/mkgrkindex belongs to texlive-bin-2009.1-1 in my system

texlive-bin-2009.2-1
texlive-langgreek-2009.14873-1

* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
Update 'texlive-packages' (included texlive-langgreek) to the latest packeges in extra.

pacman -Sy texlive-most texlive-bin, should do the work.

texlive-lang, not texlive-most, as i wrote in the description.

I noticed that upgrading the packages seperately works fine.

The problem seems to exist only when trying to update the packages at the same time.

Some symlinks were moved from texlive-bin to texlive-{htmlxml,langgreek,langextra,pictures,pstricks,science}, where they actually belong (see  FS#16037 ).

Unfortunately /usr/bin/mkgrkindex was omitted due to a typo in the PKGBUILD, so there is a conflict between texlive-bin and texlive-langgreek. The solution is to force overwriting /usr/bin/mkgrkindex. See http://www.archlinux.org/news/463/
