not reproducable on my amchine, have you tried reinstalling the kernel package?
Comment by A.F.G. (TuxLin) - Wednesday, 16 September 2009, 23:28 GMT
Yes, I have ReInstall this package, 2009.09.10

Now, I've reinstalled, executed depmod -a and reboot.

After boot, this problem had gone.

Thanks.

I am also experiencing this exact issue. I have reinstalled the kernel package, run depmod -a and rebooted and the issue was not fixed. This is on a fresh arch net install for me.

Have you tried running depmod first? I cannot reproduce either, but I have 2.6.31-1.

I did not try that. I was having additional issues related to a PCI RAID card and I ended up reinstalling with a different hard disk configuration. When I reinstalled Arch, I no longer had the issue, using the same kernel version. The only difference in hardware configuration was that I installed the operating system on a HD booting from the RAID card rather than IDE. In both cases, I wished to load the module in order to mount an xfs disk attached to the RAID card. I was having the exact same error, but I am no longer able to reproduce it so perhaps it can be closed again.
