DetailsDescription:
texi2pdf does nothing when given a valid texinfo file. texi2dvi is the same. They return 1 (error code) to the shell, so there is really something wrong out there. Verbose mode does not help, though... Additional info: * package version(s) texinfo 4.13a-3 texlive-most, texlive-bin 2009.1 etc. Steps to reproduce: You can get a sample texinfo file here: http://www.gnu.org/software/texinfo/manual/texinfo/html_node/Short-Sample-Texinfo-File.html#Short-Sample-Texinfo-File If you copy it to an editor and save it (with .texi extension), you can reproduce the bug by trying to convert it to dvi/pdf using those texi2... tools. |

Did you ran "sudo fmtutil-sys --all" after you updated texlive?
The next release of texlive-core will do fmtutil-sys --all by default during post-upgrade.
