DetailsThe community/driftnet package looks like it's based on the last "official" release from http://www.ex-parrot.com/~chris/driftnet , which is half a decade old. There are a couple of additional features available since then:
The debian "Sid" source packages[1] include patches to add .png support among other things. Separately (annoyingly NOT in the debian package) the CVS source listed on the ex-parrot.com page includes support for reading from packet dump files rather than only directly from network interfaces. Any chance of getting the two trees merged somehow and included as the current community/driftnet package? [1] http://packages.debian.org/source/testing/driftnet |
