After updating fuse 2.74 to 2.8 folders that are encrypted with encfs won't be mounted correctly. Additional info: Package versions: extra/fuse 2.8.0-1 + local/encfs 1.5-4 Steps to reproduce: Install encfs 1.5-4 and fuse 2.8.0-1 Create an encrypted folder like described in wiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/EncFS do ls -la in $HOME and look for the rights of the folder: d????????? ? ? ? ? ? encrypted/ |

I can confirm the exact same problem. Noticed it after i just updated to fuse 2.8.0-1

encfs needs to be linked to the new fuse library. If you run encfs with the -f flag you see it's simply a library version mismatch. While waiting for a new package in the repo you can rebuild encfs from abs with the new fuse installed, and everything should work normally again.

@andrea: I'll rebuild encfs tonight if you haven't already done by then
