Description:

The 'provides' variable in go-openoffice is unversioned. However, openoffice-ja (and perhaps other language packs?) requires openoffice-base >= 3.1.1. Thus, when you attempt to install openoffice-*, pacman finds that the dependency is unsatisfied and propopes to remove go-openoffice.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
go-openoffice 3.1.1.1-1
openoffice-ja 3.1.1-1

Steps to reproduce:
1. pacman -Sy go-openoffice
2. pacman -Sy openoffice-ja

I don't know what -xx langpack you mean. The official i18n packages in extra are known to not support go-oo! the go-oo files are in a different location. I know there are custom go-oo i18n packages in AUR. These should support go-oo directly.

So there's no need for a versioned provides array.
