Up till now the vlc package did not provide the Mozilla browser plugin because users want to decide which browser plugins shall be installed and maintaining a separate package was to much hassle. This should be now problem any more since pacman is now able to handle split packages. (The vlc-plugin package has 186 votes in AUR now.) Additional info: * package version(s) vlc 1.0.1-2 * config and/or log files etc. patch attached |

should be added to package_vlc_mozilla_plugin() to get rid of the install script which is needed for the main package only.
