DetailsDescription:
When compiling, some programs are used when present on the system (any of: freeglut, fftw, gsf). Probably on the build machine there's freeglut and fftw installed, hence built asymptote binary (asy) links to these libraries. Confirmed by namcap and ldd. The problem is of course that unless a user has those two packages installed independently, asymptote won't run. By the way, fftw is a 10M package depending only on glibc and bash, freeglut has 1M and depends on libxxf86vm and mesa; so both fftw and freeglut don't pull in anything that's not commonly installed. Proposed fix: add freeglut and fftw to dependencies. |
