Pidgin doesn't appear to require any dictionaries as dependencies. This is very annoying since the spelling correction feature is enabled by default and it complains about every word. It should pull in aspell-en by default, or the correct dictionary for the user's locale. Additional info: -- Steps to reproduce: 1. Install pidgin 2. Type into chat window |

As I see it, there are 3 main options:
1. Turn off aspell in pidgin by default.
2. Make aspell a dependency.
3. Make aspell an optional dependency.
