DetailsDescription:
I cann't use my WD mobile harddisk in my arch box, after plugin the USB cable, I get the following in dmesg usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4 hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2 I think maybe it needs more power。 So I brought a usb hub with power, However, I still cann't use my disk. For contrast, I get windows 7 installed in my same box, which can use my mobile harddisk out of question. Is there any thing wrong with the linux kernel ? BTW: I can use my usb port for something which require less power(mobile phone for example). Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. 6:~% pacman -Q kernel26 kernel26 2.6.30.4-1 6:~% Steps to reproduce: Plugin the cable of my harddisk, dmesg. |

thx for the infomation.
However, "Try to load module ehci-hcd before uhci-hcd." can not slove my problem.
However, if I remove both ehci-hcd and uhci-hcd, I can use my mobile disk indeed.
(So I blacklist them in my rc.conf)
It this a kernel usb module bug ?
Is a good idea to report the issue to bugzilla.kernel.org or to LKML usb subsystem. People on them can help more with your issue. Remember to provide much more information.
