Details

The current output of "pacman -Qu" (pacman >= 3.3) shows upgradable packages along with the installed version. The output in previous versions showed the version of the available updates, which is actually more useful both for the user and for scripts.

Could you please either append the available version to the current output, e.g.
foo 3.9-2 4.0-1

or replace the installed version with it, e.g.
foo 4.0-1

I am sorry my patch for  FS#14208  wasn't accepted for 3.3

Well, this request doesn't fit well to the current 'filter' approach, neither in the source code nor for the user (see -Que, for example). And for my taste, -Q should refer to local packages only...

 FS#14208  will be implemented in pacman 3.4, I think that will be "enough", so my vote is: won't implement.

I had forgotten about  FS#14208 . If that will definitely be included then I'll request closure.
